What are the most beneficial aspects to living in your market, versus other trending areas nearby?
Palladium Properties: The market, including Aspen and the surrounding areas, is unique. It’s truly unlike any other market in the country. For recreation, there is everything from rock climbing and road biking to world-class concerts and spa days. We’re not joking when we say there is truly something for everyone. Areas like Denver may be fast-growing, but there is just no other place where you can hike up a 9,000 ft mountain before going to the ballet, and then follow that by a world-class dinner without ever having to get in the car.
What are you most excited to see emerge in your market? New zoning district, restaurant, etc.
Palladium Properties: The zoning within the City of Aspen is some of the most complex in the country. It will be interesting to see what happens within the core of Aspen’s downtown once the moratorium on new residential construction ends. It is a constant and ever-evolving dialogue between developers, property owners, business owners, and city officials to determine how the city will grow and change into the future. It will be exciting to see how this recent topic influences our town’s landscape and vitality.
What are your top two digital tools to use to help facilitate your workday?
Palladium Properties: We know how important social media is in staying connected with our clients and relevant within our industry. For our social media team, Hootsuite plays an essential role in keeping every post, tweet, comment, and ‘gram organized. Hootsuite also offers analytics of what types of topics and posts engage our followers, which helps drive the direction of our social media strategy.
Matterport is another technology we utilize, one that makes virtual reality mainstream. Many of our buyers are not local, which poses an interesting challenge when trying to show property. The virtual tours we can create with Matterport are game-changers. We can have a client literally anywhere in the world get a true sense of space for the interior and layout of a home in Aspen at any time of the day or night.
