Hublot showed up in major party mode this year at Baselworld. The Swiss company was celebrating the 10th anniversary of one of the most iconic models in the luxury timepiece industry, the Hublot Big Bang, while upgraded editions of the classic watch were introduced as well.
Ten years ago, the CEO at the time, Jean-Claude Biver, unveiled the Hublot Big Bang Gold Ceramic. Biver, who now holds the title of president of Hublot and president of the watch division of LVMH, celebrated the special occasion by unveiling three new Big Bang pieces.
Each of the exquisite anniversary models incorporates the classic unforgettable elements of the original Big Bang. With only 250 pieces being produced, the Big Bang Unico holds Hublot’s UNICO column wheel chronograph movement. The caliber’s double clutch is visible on the dial, as well as the date chapter ring. Made in Hublot’s 18K scratch-resistant Full Magic Gold, it features a new one-click strap system that allows the Big Bang Unico’s strap the ability to be changed effortlessly.
The next masterpiece is the Big Bang Tourbillon 5-DayPower Reverse Indicator. Also dipped in Full Magic Gold, this 50-piecelimited edition was manufactured and designed in-house. The open-faced presents the HUB6016 hand-wound skeleton movement, with a one-minute tourbillion at exactly 6 o’clock.
At last, the Big Bang “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie is an outstanding dazzling approach on the classic design. Then distinguished versions of this model will be produced and each will be priced at $1 million. These timepieces are absolutely beautiful. The black version features 653 black baguette diamonds, the full white version features 653 white baguette diamonds, and the blue baguette sapphires, and the red version features 653 baguette diamonds and baguette rubies.
