Kim Bresden, of White Sands Design International, creates a design masterpiece for a home in Napa Valley, California.
Remodel to an existing home purchased by clients that I had worked for in the winery tasting room. This home’s previous colors were more in keeping with a “Southwest” theme; earthy and darker…my client wanted the home to be much more “fresh and happy, yet still elegant”.
We painted the majority of the main living spaces soft, creamy yellow and added interest to the recessed wall niches with a champagne colored metallic paint finish. The living room ceiling has high coffers, with recessed lighting which we painted in a deep blue metallic paint, reminiscent of the night sky. New pendant fixtures in the living room and dining add some “bling” and elegance to the spaces. We created custom furniture pieces that add interest and color to the living room, new window coverings, rugs, tables and lamps create a comfortable and serene space to visit in or to curl up with a good book.
The custom, blown glass pendant light in the kitchen eating area has 5 different colors and 2 different glass textures that I personally wired together. Tommy Bahama furniture and new rugs anchor the circular eating area. My clients love the pop of color and whimsy this piece adds to the room they spend a great deal of time in.
